August 2013, Kampala (Uganda): The swiss rapper YoDa and the beat producer Johannes meet two Ugandan emcees, two beatboxers and a photographer. Thriving with enthusiasm, they decide to work on a common piece of art together. In the dark room of Moze the beatboxer, right in the heart of Old Kampala, they worked days and days with assiduousness. The three emcees (Taye, Jora and YoDa) discussed the topics of their lyrics, put them down on paper in the dim light of a weak lamp. They spit the lyrics on the beats of Johannes while beatboxers Moze and Sono let their inspiration vibe through the rythms. From time to time, Oskar Kibuuka took some snapshots. At the end of the month, they had recorded 7 songs and decided to make an EP out of it. They called it "Borda to Borda / D'une Frontière à l'Autre", which summarizes perfectly the amazing experience they had lived: uniting two continents through hip hop culture.
